| Each Subscription becomes activated only at the time it is installed, not at the time of purchase. When you install a renewal or an upgrade, the total duration of your Subscription will be automatically increased to give you full credit for any time remaining on your previous Subscription; new Chips are simply added to any remaining unused Chips. |

| The first time you either Print, Save, Copy or Email a patent downloaded during a PatentMax session, a single Chip will be expended, whereupon that patent will be marked paid-for; there is never any charge for operations performed on a paid-for patent. Note that a previously saved patent is always considered paid-for, so when you re-open a saved patent, no Chips are required to perform any operations. Unused Chips never expire, even if your Subscription should run out--simply renew your Subscription and all unused Chips immediately become available again. |
